Sunset 1770

Seventeen Seventy is one of only a couple of places on the east coast that you can watch the sun set over the water. Settle down for a picnic on the beach and enjoy the breathtaking sights as this is an experience too beautiful to miss.

Paperbark Forest

Take a walk through the magical Paperbark Forest. It appears unassuming from the road but this place is an absolute hidden gem. The kids will love skipping and jumping over the stepping stones. You will be sure to capture spectacular photographs, especially after rainfall when the light dances upon the water.

There are so many great local fishing spots in the area, but one of our favourites is beach fishing at Chinaman’s Beach. Try your luck at catching some Bream, Whiting, Flathead or Dart. This is a great place to take the kids.  For the more experienced angler, rock fishing at Agnes Point or Wreck Rock are a popular choice. There are also fishing charters that run daily from both Agnes Waters and 1170 if you are interested in an offshore fishing experience.
